There is something ordered in (wo)man when (s)he look in his(her) chaos. I believe in every human being there is an infinite spring. There is always a lower or a higher point in moral life.

C'è qualcosa di ordinato in un uomo (donna) quando si guarda nel proprio caos. Credo che in ogni essere umano ci sia una sorgente infinita. C'è sempre un punto più alto o basso nella vita morale.

What do humans dream of?

I believe the novel is a metaphor about what makes us human and what shapes our relationship with other people. We are a genre, an ilk, a multiplicity, and we are unable to transform the reality in which we are embedded in a predictable way. Yet something inside every individual makes one look for completeness in other beings. Living animals become the ultimate status symbol, objects become 'kipple'. Sharing emotional life the ultimate consolation.

Credo che il racconto sia una metafora su ciò che ci rende umani e cosa plasmi la nostra relazione con gli altri. Siamo un genere, un tipo specifico, una molteplicità, e siamo incapaci di trasformare la realtà in cui siamo immersi in modo predicibile. Tuttavia qualcosa in ogni individuo fa sì che egli cerchi completezza in altri esseri. Animali viventi diventano l'ultimo status symbol, gli oggetti diventano 'kipple'. Condividere la vita emotiva è l'ultima consolazione.

What would the ideal priest looks like? As many know, life of the Catholic Church is currently marked by scandals of several type, and Benedict XVI is having a hard time setting up a cleansing agenda for Christ's body.
As far as my little contribution is concerned, I firmly believe that candidates to priesthood should adds Logics and Mathematics to their curriculum (see SC p41 for study recommendation on history of art), which could give them the necessary instruments to formulate consistent assertions in their homilies and live consequently.

A cosa dovrebbe somigliare il prete ideale? Come molti sanno, la vita della Chiesa Cattolica è marcata correntmente da scandali di diverso tipo, e Benedetto XVI sta affrontando con fatica il compito di stabilire un'agenda di purificazione per il corpo di Cristo. Per quanto possa dare un piccolo contributo, credo con convinzione che i candidati al sacerdozio debbano aggiungere Logica e Matematica al proprio curriculum (vedere SC p41 per le raccomdandazioni sullo studio della storia della storia dell'arte), cosa che potrebbe fornir loro gli strumenti necessari per formulare asserzioni coerenti nelle loro omelie e vivere di conseguenza.

Perhaps somebody remebers Fr. Tiziano Repetto SJ, who used to publish a blog on his activity as an exorcist of the diocese of Rome, and wonders what happened to him and his blog. I have been told by another exorcist of that city that recently new criteria have been set for exercise the ministry and they require at least ten years of seniority in priesthood for the mandate and he, being him still a young priest, had to renounce. So no mistery, then, and let's hope we'll hear again from him.

Forse qualcuno ricorda Padre Tiziano Repetto SJ, che era uso pubblicae un blog sulla propria attività come esorcista della diocesi di Roma, e si chiede cosa sia accaduto a lui ed al blog. Mi è stato detto da un altro esorcista di quella città che recentemente sono stati decisi nuovi criteri per esercitare il ministero ed essi richiedono almeno dieci anni di anzianità nel sacerdozio per il mandato ed egli, essendo ancora un giovane prete, ha dovuto rinunciare. Così nessun mistero, e speriamo di sentire ancora di lui in futuro.

The Cardinal Archbishop Bagnasco would seem academic and sometimes distant. However, as far as I saw with my very eyes, he loves common people; he likes speaking directly to everybody and be hospitable.

Il Cardinale Arcivescovo Bagnasco sembrerebbe accademico e a volte distante. Tuttavia, per quanto abbia visto coi miei occhi, ama la gente comune; apprezza parlare direttamente con ognuno ed essere ospitale.

Yes, I bought an ebook reader and what is the first book you search in a library?
That's right, I searched a Bible and after careful study I found Ignatius Study Bible, second edition, New Testament only. It doesn't have concordances but notes and essays on single topics are magnificent.
I have the .epub version: links to notes are interspersed into text and after every note there is a link back to the main text.
Unmissable.

Certamente, ho comperato un ebook reader, e qual è il primo libro che si cerca in una libreria?
Giusto, ho cercato una Bibbia e dopo studio attento ho trovato la Bibbia Ignatius da studio, seconda edizione, solo il Nuovo Testamento. Non ha le concordanze, ma le note ed i saggi su singoli argomenti specifici sono magnifici.
Ho la versione .epub i link alle note sono sparsi nel testo e dopo ogni nota c'è un link indietro al testo principale.
Imperdibile.
